This book took me by surprised at first. It had a nice touch on how it presented the background story from the start, giving us some context and a head start to an attachment for the main characters, before taking us into the present and where these characters are now.
The characters were interesting, but I did wish for more of an in-depth substance for the female lead so that she could come across self-assured. This is, however, a matter of opinion on the readers part.
For me, more of the character is gradually revealed as the author woven it into the story and bit by bit allowed us to see more of her layers rather than the few only shown in the first quarter of the book.
As for the male lead, his story to me needed more depth to understand his reasoning and his personality traits. These points, however, do not detract from a good clean read of the novel. Personally I prefer a bit more sex in my romance novels but now and again I love to just read a really good and sweet love story that just reminds you of butterflies and positive affirmations to getting the one you want to fall in love with you, soulmates and all.
Would recommend for those who are looking for a nice clean romance novel with complicated characters, but a sweet ending reminding us that love conquers all. For those of us who like the raunchy side of things, you may want to give this one a miss. Also, a plus side to this story it is a series done by the author, so if you are a clean romance reader, look towards this series for 5 more additional books in these characters universe.
Happy reading!!
