As love matches go Connor and Novalee are an unlikely pair, at least from my point of view. At first you fall in love with Nova's innocence and shyness but also her quiet strength. As a character she seems to be a slow burn in developing her traits and direction in which her growth may be headed. As an unlikely match goes, the brooding and harshness of Connor, was somewhat needed to bring depth and layers to their relationship. As we work through this story and plot, we see the layers of each character peeling away and showing their improbable match becoming something of a fairy tale dream in the making.
Connor is straight forward, brooding and a withdrawn character, with issues that he clearly needs to work on, but he convinces you to save him from his dark side. He creates this aura, that makes you believe you can be the one to make him change or be his ultimate rescuer.
This book takes you on a journey of acceptance and illustrating the age old saying of not judging a book by its cover. It provides us with an insight on unconditional love that went leaps and bounds in each other and for each other. Connor and Novalee have the sweetest ending that makes you satisfied when reaching the end of this book.
Please read for a sweet and love driven romance novel. It can be just that breath of fresh air you needed or a cleansing of palette.
