Quiet Chaos by Keta Kendric

Oh, my what a read! If you have not read the first instalment of this series STOP NOW!!!! Turn back because this book is a continuation of the first one called Beautiful Chaos. I suggest you read Beautiful Chaos then continue onto this book.

Now for those of us who are up to date and already drooling over our first book boyfriend from the first instalment then, you know this book gave us an all new drool worthy boyfriend to curl up on the weekend and loose ourselves in.

For me I just could not put this book down until I reached the very end, and even then, I just wanted more, like the book addict I am!

This book had some twists and delicious turns keeping you on your reading toes (or fingertips as you turn those pages). The plot was brilliant it gave us a continuation of the first book, without sacrificing the characters or their development and giving us an understanding of their point of view for those in the first book and the circumstances they were left in.

Character development for me is a key part to any aspiring bestselling novel, especially when trying to draw in the audience and have us invested in their potential love story, no matter the outcome. Keta, you have done us book lovers proud the development was seamless and so inviting for you to continue reading, during the woven moments from book 1 into book 2.

As we dive into the complicated and arranged marriage of Mecca and Arjen, be warned there is a lot of graphic violence and strong sexual content. If you are not a fan of reading about gun violence or even murder and the plotting of serious violence, then again this is not the one for you. If you are like me and are open to all that this book offers then the journey we embark on with these two characters is one, that continuously makes you believe that love really when present is such a powerful emotion.

This book gives us such a strong female lead and one that surprises us to what she has had to overcome and adjust in order to become such a strong woman when the odds were set against her from the beginning. To read how Arjen, a strong alpha male, was able to adjust to an alpha female like Mecca, was inspiring to read, as she deserved a strong man to stand at her side and let her lead when the time came to it.

Their love story was one, I thoroughly enjoyed. It created a parallel to that of Desiree and Khane. It showcased that you cannot always do everything on your own, even when you think it is best, because asking for help is not such a bad thing at all. The plot focuses on Mecca and gives us a glimpse of Arjen and his connection to the syndicate but it leaves me wondering if we can look forward to another addition from Keta, giving us more of the background story developing behind the scenes in both books and the history to all the plotting and murders being carried out as well as why a certain someone is still alive??? Questions I do hope we get answers to.

In my opinion the first book was great, this one was even greater and if you are not sacred of all those warnings then….
