I was extremely excited to read this book; I read the great reviews and thought why not, let me take a stab at it and see what this book is all about. It started off quite well nice introduction to the main characters straight away. A great setting to a conflict between the two main characters, which gave you a sense for who to root for and perhaps who not to root for.

I must say though, that this was a book that was difficult for me to read, although the plot was ok, it lacked the steamy seductive romance I was hoping for. I am still waiting for a blow your socks off time of affair, that you would need a fan to cool down from to appear, even though I read it from cover to cover. This was a sweet romance, very much for the fairy-tale and clean romance type readers. For me I just wanted a bit more dirt and this was when I was only halfway through the book.

I do admit that the descriptions for the kissing scenes were beautifully written and were a great way to form some intimacy between the characters. It was great building the scene and desire for each other, but I still felt a lacking in what was to come next. However, it did take a while to realise they were saving themselves for marriage, but this was only obvious three quarters of the way into the book. Would have been nice if they lead with a faithful proclamation that she was saving herself for marriage rather than a hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, medium kind of heated scenes.

I do believe there is a place for these types of books for readers who want to have themselves reflective in the novels of their reading choices. For me, a nice warning would have been great to just advise rightfully what the book entailed. Advertisement is always important so that the niche market can find the types of books they are looking for.

Although, Kiarra is a fun feisty and loveable character, again I just wanted a more layered approached to her character development. Some of these layers were there, I just wanted more grit and roundedness for her development.

In the end, I would recommend this book for the faithful, fairy-tale types who appreciated a clean romance novel, more reflective of their morals and standards. For us who love some dirt and erotic vocab and scenes, may want to take a pass on this book.

Happy Reading
